The GTX Corp. is introducing new shoes, loafers and sneakers, with GPS built into them. CBS technology expert Katie Linendoll said they can really come in handy for families who are taking care of relatives suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. With a downloadable app, they can track them using the GPS or get an alert if the person wanders out of a pre-set safe zone.
Another product for locating a person is from M-Finder. It looks like a watch. If the person wearing it wanders off, their family can call 911 who will contact M-Finder which can tell them exactly where the missing person is.
For people disabilities, there is now a hands-free laptop from Lenovo. The computer uses eye tracking technology to do everything an abled bodied person is able to do with a mouse and keyboard. Continue to readcbslocal.com
