Overeating poses a special risk for the elderly, according to a new study.
Older people who consume more than 2,143 calories a day have more than double the risk of memory loss compared to those who ate fewer than 1,500 calories a day. The more calories an older person consumes, the more likely they are to have mild cognitive impairment.
Mild Cognitive Impairment -- or MCI -- is the condition between the normal forgetfulness caused by aging and early Alzheimer's Disease. Symptoms of MCI are generally not severe enough to be noticed by other people, but can interfere with day-to-day life. Continue to readabc-7.com
